We warmly welcome all who are ready to take part—
to step forward and join us in this extraordinary mission.
CAS Space has been building, step by step, real capability in in-space manufacturing. Our first vehicle, Li Hong 1, made history—becoming the first in China to complete a 100 km-class suborbital flight. On that mission, something even bigger happened: the first microgravity laser additive manufacturing experiment in orbit with payload recovery—and not just an experiment, it produced the first metal 3D-printed sample ever made in space in China. A gap in capability is closed.
At the same time, CAS Space joined forces with the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica of Chinese Academy of Sciences, to push into something even more ambitious: space pharmaceuticals. New environment, new methods, new possibilities for how we develop and manufacture drugs. These aren't isolated wins. They're the groundwork for on-orbit manufacturing, for in-situ repair, for what comes next in space manufacturing.
Now: Li Hong 2. This is the next step. Built on everything learned from Li Hong 1, Li Hong 2 is stronger, more adaptable, and more capable across the board:
• More mission flexibility
• Higher reliability
• Larger payload capacity and experimental space
And it's not theoretical. Its maiden flight is scheduled for this year.
Now we open it up—to the world. We're launching a global payload call, inviting researchers, universities, companies, and creators everywhere to bring their ideas on board.
Microgravity isn't just a condition. It's an opportunity.
